Rigoletta set to continue good form in Glanbia Handicap
Rigoletta will be looking to continue her good run of form by winning the Glanbia Handicap at Curragh in Ireland on Saturday, September 15, 2012. She has appeared at this venue in the past as well and her performances have been up to the mark. Therefore,
she will be confident of delivering a solid result yet again.
A total of 15 entries have been listed for the €13,325 event, which is scheduled to start at 16:00 GMT. The weather has been good for racing over the past few days, thus the going has been described as yielding by the organisers.
There are some very talented contestants lined up for action in the 1 mile race, thus they will spice up the competition and the spectators will be looking forward to it.
One thing is pretty much clear that the contest is going to be a close one and it will not be an easy task for the punters to make up their mind on one particular participant. They will have to be extremely careful while risking their money on anyone.
Hot Bed has been given the best odds for victory by the bookies, as he has got a good stamina and his performances until now have been pretty much consistent. However, things will not be easy for him and he will have to be at his absolute best in order to
outshine his opponents.
Rigoletta will also be in contention of a victory today, as she is well aware of the conditions at Curragh. Due to this, she has been given a general starting price of 12 to 1 and will be a very good choice for the bettors.
Although, the three-year-old filly does not have a very good strike rate, yet she has the ability to deliver good results with consistency. She has participated in a dozen events and there were only four occasions, where she failed to make it to the top
three.
However, the J. S. Bolger’s trainee has failed to win races with consistency, which is not a positive sign. She will need to work hard in order to improve that statistic and her jockey, Rory Cleary, will be looking to help her achieve that feat.
