Riley-Bozier of Morgan State speaks about the 2012 schedule – Volleyball News
Right after the Morgan State volleyball programme released the schedule of 2012 season, the head coach of women’s volleyball team Riley-Bozier expressed excitement about the interesting encounters with tough rivals.
According to him, the 2012 schedule of Lady Bears is not very overwhelming. His team will meet opponents such as Sacrament State, which is a tough team to compete with. He said he is always excited to take on such big teams as it gets the team ready for
action.
Lady Bears are set to begin the thrilling 2012 season on coming Friday, August 24. The Battle of the Bay will be the first tournament for Bears in the regular season. Teams from Towson, St. John’s, and Maryland Baltimore County will join the action. Meanwhile,
Morgan State team is ready to rumble with the opponents and to beat them with power. However, it would be premature to make a guess about the results at this time. The situation will become evident when the teams will come into stride and the best will catch
the limelight. Nevertheless, Bozier is determined to enable his team to take good start in the season.
Battle of the Bay will be followed by Sacramento State Invitational, which will take place from August 31 to September 1. Sacramento, California will host the tournament, while Boise State, Sacramento State, Morgan State, and Saint Mary's (Calif.) will take
part in the activity.
In the next run, the Lady Bears will return to Baltimore to participate in the Loyola Tournament (Sept. 7-8). Likewise, the homecoming for the Bears will start after the completion of Seton Hall Tournament.
“Last season was the first time since 2006 that we began playing comfortable at home and I was really excited to see that,” commented Riley-Bozier. “For the past few years we've been a team that would go on the road and play tough and hard against both conference
and non-conference opponents and then when we played at home it was like two different teams. So hopefully the success we had last year playing at Hill Field House we can carry over into this season and continue to defend our home court.”
