Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173 believes that his side could go on and win the Premier League title, should they maintain their away form for the rest of the season.
United went on to maintain their fine away form against Tottenham this past weekend, as they beat them by three goals to one, to close their gap in on Manchester City back to two point.
In doing so, the Red Devils went on to win ten of their last fourteen games away from home, which is nearly double the record that they set last season.
During the game, Tottenham kept on attacking the United goal and it seemed like the North London club would go on and beat the Red Devils.
However, despite all the pressure that the team put, the Red Devils went on to sink them on the counter, by scoring three times, against the run of play.
These goals prove that United are easily one of the most clinical and lethal teams in front of goal and that they can turn a game around, whenever they want to.
Ferdinand believes that this ability to perform well in away games, mixed with the teams natural capabilities of digging deep in every game is going to help them go all the way and claim top spot at the end of the season.
When talking about the team and the way they had gone on to turn things around this season, Ferdinand is quoted to have said: "Last year, I don't know what it was"
"It could have been complacency, expecting to win games whereas at the moment we're being very professional.”
"We're hard to break down, hard to beat and we know that we've got players on the break who can beat anybody. [White Hart Lane] is a tough place to come. Spurs are a team with talented players.
"We've had that over the years; we've never had an easy win here. We knew we had to work hard and they made us work hard for the win."
It is now up to United to maintain their form and continue playing the way they have been, for the remainder of the season as they hope for City to slip up.
