Rio Ferdinand confident Manchester United will bounce back strongly after Champions League defeat
Manchester United defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rio-Ferdinand-c31173, insists that the Red Devils will bounce back strongly after the 3-1 UEFA Champions League final defeat at the hands of Barcelona.
United were bamboozled by the Catalonians at Wembley Stadium on May 28, 2011, as Barca registered their fourth UEFA Champions League title win. Sir Alex Ferguson once again failed with the tactics against Barcelona, as United lost their second final in three
years against Pep Guardiola’s side.
Ferdinand praised the Spanish Champions and believes that they have set the standards very high and the defeat will propel United to match these standards in the next season. The 32-year-old added that his team should not be put off after the final defeat
as they had a brilliant season overall.
Talking to the reporters, Ferdinand said, "They’ve set the standard and you have to get to that standard. They're a fantastic football team with great individuals, but they're also great collectively. They all know their jobs and do that well. As a team
you have to aim to get to that.

"We'll brush ourselves down and come back fighting next season. We can't be too hard on ourselves, looking back over the season. We've had a brilliant season in the Premier League. We've won the title, got to another Champions League final and an FA Cup semi-final.”
The former Leeds United centre-half is shattered after losing the final as he had planned to win the double once again. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Captain-c8314 believes that his team were completely mesmerised by Barcelona’s midfield and attacking play and they never
got themselves going after conceding the second goal.
Ferdinand did not take any credit away from Barcelona and added that they played better football and the best team deserved to win. United’s memorable 19th Premier League title win was overshadowed by this defeat but the defender is confident
that they will bounce back strongly in the next season and will work on their deficiencies in the summer transfer window to win trophies.
