The LOSC Lille midfielder has yet again been one of the best players in Ligue 1. However, his performances for Les Dogues are yet to earn him a France call-up, much to the surprise of the player
Last year, Rio Mavuba captained LOSC Lille to their first Ligue 1 Championelle in about five decades. The defensive midfielder was an integral part of Rudi Garcia’s side at that time. Once again, Mavuba has been in excellent form for Les Dogues who are currently
battling for a third-place finish in the Championnat.
The 28-year-old has been pivotal to Rudi Garcia’s plans. However, much to the surprise of many, the midfielder is yet to be called upon by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 national team manager Laurent Blanc.
At the age of 28, Mavuba can’t convince Blanc and neither has the Cevennes-born man called him to the national side’s training camps. The Lille man has often publicly expressed his amazement at not having the opportunity to prove his qualities for Les Bleus
in a position where the hierarchy is far from being frozen forever.
“I do not want to sound arrogant. But it’s true that sometimes I wonder if my work is noticed at fair value. I know that my partners are realising, that’s a lot. There are also former players who tell me so.”
The former Bordeaux man has many a times, been backed by his coach Rudi Garcia. The Lille tactician says that the player who was born at sea, deserves to play for Les Bleus regularly.
Mavuba on the other hand, suggests another hypothesis which many people believe could be true.

At that time, Laurent Blanc had just been named the new coach of the Aquitaine club. the Frenchman asked the midfielder to stay at the club but Mavuba had already gave the Spanish

“Some also told me that Laurent Blanc has a grudge against me because I left Bordeaux when he arrived. I do not know how he was perceived.”
The last time Mavuba played for France was way back in 2007 in a 1-0 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Austria-c2844. Since then the player has been waiting for a call that has never come.
