While talking to reporters, the former Bordeaux player said that it’s great to know that there are people out there who support him.
Mavuba stated that the past few years were hard on him but the support from fans were incredible and he is really thankful for that.
"I get the feeling that there are people out there who support me, and that's always nice. I don't know how to explain it. I'm not playing any kind of role; I'm just myself,"
France’s next game of the 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign is against Belarus at Stade de France, and the Lille captain feels that playing at home will add extra pressure on players.

Les Bleus’ next match is of great importance and Mavuba believes that his side is capable of getting maximum points from that game.
"I don't know if the Stade de France is too big for Les Bleus, but I do get the feeling that it's easier to play away than at home.

“There's no reason to think it's too big for us, and we'll do all we can to harness the support we’ve got and give them something to really cheer about."
