While talking to reporters, the 28-year-old said that he understands Debuchy’s desire to leave as he wants a new challenge in his career. However, the France international stated that he would love to see Debuchy stay as it would be a great boost for the
team.
“I met him and said that I understand his desire to leave,” Mavuba told reporters.

Mavuba knows that Debuchy's presence in the squad will make them stronger as they seek to rival Paris Saint-Germain and Montpellier for the Ligue 1 crown.
