  1. The weather will be warm (expect 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit) since this is the beginning of summer in the southern hemisphere.  It will be very humid.  I was in Rio from the end of November to December 14th this year.  The last week it rained almost constantly.  For the last couple of years, torrential rains have caused flooding in Rio and landslides in Petropolis and Teresopolis outside the city during January and February.

  2. Hello, I am Brazilian from Rio. In December the weather here is VERY hot, 35°C-40°C. Brazilians are on summer vacations December- January.  We see degrees with Celcius no Fahrenheit.

  3. Includding everything that the people told, don't forget to bring a excelent and huge umbrella. the storms are really strong in this time of the year.

  4. The weather in Rio de Janeiro, in the summer, is very hot and very humid, like others cities near the ocean. Temperature around 42 Celsius degree and humidity around 60% or more are very common during this time. You need clothes suitable for those conditions, maybe, clothes made by cotton and colors white, yellow, etc. No dark colors. Don´t forget the protective for the skin!!!
