I have two macs, and for a project I need to cut some scenes in movies, is there some software that can do this? Like any of the Adobe products or Final Cut pro etc. I tried using mactheripper but I didn't like it.

  9. I'm not sure if Final Cut Pro Studio or Adobe's will rip/extract a dvd. I noticed that on google search for ripping dvd on Mac, the one software that most use is Wondershare DVD Ripper Platinum. Once you extract the movie files, you can import them into the video editing software.

Final Cut Pro Studio is a fairly pricey application but well worth it. I've used it several times and I like it better than using Premiere on PC. I just started messing with it and it can be intimidating at times. It took almost 5 hours to load it on a Mac Pro 4-core with 6GB memory! My friend works at one of the local news stations in Houston and they use Final Cut Pro Studio on their Macs.

Here's a guide to extract the movie files.
