Ripstik / Waveboard / Vigorboard?

Question

I'm looking for a Ripstik/equivalent for my son's birthday (all very expensive). I have been looking at wave skateboards, and have now found a "Vigorboard" which is less expensive - is the quality any good?? I know he will use it nonstop.

i wanted a ripstik but i found out about vigor boards and bought one instead but i'm worried about the quality cause everyone has a ripstik, not a vigor board. reading your comment makes me feel better.
