Juan Roman Riquelme believes that the Spanish champions are enormously fortunate to have players like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez in their squad…
Riquelme stated that Messi, Iniesta and Xavi are massively talented players and it is great fortune that such players are a part of one team. He emphasized that the trio is a class apart as compared to other players in the modern game.
Riquelme added that he is impressed with the success that Pep Guardiola’s men have achieved in recent years. He was adamant that with Barcelona’s current squad, it is fairly easy to understand the dizzying heights that La Blaugrana have enjoyed in the past
two seasons.
According to the FIFA website, the Argentine veteran was quoted as saying:
"We all like watching Barcelona. They’ve been fortunate enough to bring together a group of players the likes of which will never be seen again in [Lionel] Messi, [Andres] Iniesta, Xavi, [http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gerard-c14664] Pique. All in the same team at the same time. It’s a stroke
of fortune.”
Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona is widely considered to be one of the strongest teams in the history of football. They have been the champions of Spanish Primera Division for three seasons straight. They have won two Champions League titles in three years and
have numerous other achievements to their name.
They currently have an astonishingly impressive record and Riquelme insisted that beating them is a very difficult feat to accomplish.
“If you come up against them in a knockout cup tie or over two legs and luck goes your way then you can edge past them. But they’re very unlikely to be beaten in a longer competition, like a league championship,” he stated.
“I think the only coach who has managed to beat this Barcelona team is the guy who’s at Getafe [Luis Garcia], who beat them 1-0 recently and managed a draw with them last season when he was at Levante. That says it all," he added.
The current Champions League title holders were able to emerge victorious during the FIFA Club World Cup final. They defeated Brazilian outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Japan-c2928.
