Rising Driving Age To 18.?

Question

I saw the paper the other day and noticed how a report it going to published about rising the driving age to 18 with harder tests.

As I'm 16, 17 in May and looking foward to driving to college as it takes 2 hours by bus, I'm wondering if the proposals will be in before then so I'll have to wait until I'm 18? Or is it most likely to happen in 2009?

I hope they raise the age of driving, or make it so that teenagers go through an intense drivers test, before they can get there license: In the U.S.A.: too many irresponsible people in this world.

I should think by the time that it is actioned that you will already be learning or done.

I dont know if you smoke but when I started they where planning to raise the age of that aswell, it went up in Oct this year to 18, they had been talking about that for about 2 years.

You should be fine, just dont hang around, it would be horrible to almost finish learning and for them to put the law in just before your test!
