  1. Our family budget is busted, bruised and battered by the high prices.

  2. This really concerns me too. We haven't had to cut back yet, but I worry about families who make less money than we do. Public transportantion isn't available in our area like it is in other cities. What are we going to do about this people? WHAT can we DO?

  3. I'm paying less because I'm fortunate to be able to leave my vehicle parked all week and only drive during the weekend.

  4. We don't get to go on vacation and we can't eat out as much :-(

  5. i work part time and go to university. i have found most of my weekly pay is going into petrol so i just cut down on fast food and buy cheaper versions of the food i buy regularly

  6. It is making a huge difference on our family budget, we have cut back on groceries, & we have now purchased CFL lighting to cut back on electric bills & now we are in the process of converting the family car to run partly on water & petrol..We have a friend who has done this & he swears it works & wishes he had done it years ago. 7. Here in Alice Springs the price is around $1.80 per litre. I guess I could cut back on a few beers or that bar of chocolate. I used to complain about the huge increase in the price of fuel but realised that it can be turned into a positive. It has been the motivation that has seen me walk to the local shops or ride my bike to other destinations.
