  1. Hi Tiggy....,

The Riu's are just fabulous, so don't worry you will have a nice vacation! Thomas Cook is ok and take premium seating, you will be fine (the flight is 9 hours). For good and decend priced excursions just contact me. The rep's are selling them to but much more expensive.

Enjoy it and happy to help you

    Happy Feet

  2. Riu hotels are lovely...i bet you will never change to any other after you have been to one!!...I travelled with Thomson but found the leg room really bad as I'm 5foot 10...but they have now made bigger foot pitches as standard...just check with your airline.I also travelled in June,it is one of the best months, temp was 30-33 degrees everyday with a small 5 min storm in he afternoon at bout 4.30-don't be put of by this though cuz it breaks the humidity and is really refreshing..we just swam in the pool in the rain Fab:-)

we booked the VIP lounge at the airport for our return cuz there is no/V.poor air con and if you get delayed it is a nightmare...it cost bout £15 each and includes food and drink..

Do the monster truck safari as its a really good day out and if you like boats do the cat...enjoy...we are thinking of going to the south of the island next....oh and DONT drink the water or ice out of the complex....and use mozzie spray at night that is tropical strength.....

  3. Yes, I was there a few years back. It's at a great setting...lovely beaches. We were a bit apprehensive before we went because of the publicity about food poisoning in the Dom Rep. We need n't have worried, the food was very good even though there were buffets. The banana juice at breakfast time was superb and the fact that it's all-in is a bonus. It's a higher class hotel than it's neighbour, the Riu Mambo.

If you get a chance to go horse riding through the sugar cane fields...take it (your rep can arrange it). It was a marvellous experience, they use continental bridles and you can gallop too if you like....great!
