Question:

Riu hotels in Cabo?

Hi Cabo and/or Riu pros!

I know there are two RIU hotels next to each other. I'm going the less expensive route and staying at Santa Fe. I'm assuming that I will NOT be able to swim next door. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, how long of a walk is it to Villa Del Palmar? My sister likes a Deli there.

And how long of a walk to a good part of the swimable beach?

Thanks everyone. I'm getting ready to book and this will help me make my final decision about where to stay.

  1. idk, but I have to tell you to go to jalapa while you are there.. amazing beach great hike and awesome views..

  2. Hola.  You are right.  You will be wearing a different coloured wrist band so you will not have access to Riu Palace activities and pools.   I have heard from a few that the employees turn a blind eye if you do wander onto the property from the beachside.....go at your own risk.. lol

Villa del Parmar is pretty well next door to Riu Palace so its a nice little walk on the beach.  Not far at all.  The beach that stretches in front of all the resorts in that area can be swimable during some times of the year.  I would say now the sands have flattened down and there isn't much of an undertow.  Some days when the winds kick up it can be a little more rough.  I was down there about a week ago near Medano (which is not that far away - more western side of the long stretch of beach - you are on the eastern side.) and it was bathtub warm beautiful and calm.  Mind you, I almost got run over by an idiot on a wave runner, but its spring break right now, so you can expect that.

Have a great time here in Cabo!
