Former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 and Barcelona star, Rivaldo, returned to Camp Nou on Friday greeting fans and admirers alike while also posing for pictures with Barcelona players.
He is back on time for the Clasico match between his former team, Barcelona, and bitter rivals, Real Madrid, and as usual he couldn’t wait to give his opinion on who will come on top in this Sunday’s tantalising and electrifying encounter and also hinted
that since Barcelona are playing at home they are the team with the edge.
“But playing at home, I think Barca can win.” Rivaldo explained.
Also commenting on the expectations and the drama that always comes with this game, Rivaldo admitted that it is not going to be an easy encounter for Barcelona despite their home advantage and the fact that their influential captain and centre-back, Carles
Puyol, is on the sidelines because of an elbow injury.
“It's a tough game, complicated,” he admitted. “You never know what will happen because Real Madrid are a great team and have already won at the Camp Nou [in April]."
It is been almost a decade since Rivaldo left the Catalans but still he hasn’t lost interest in his former club and enjoys watching their games on TV.
“I now enjoy their football on TV. They are a great team and hopefully they can win more titles."
He also talked about his admiration for all Barca players and the special respect he has for Lionel Messi as a player and as an individual.
“I really like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 as a person. I like players to be humble like him, and I think all of Barcelona’s players are."
Lastly, he talked about the impact and influence Tito Vilanova has had so far on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and whether the new boss will bring success to the club he once played for.
“Tito Vilanova is doing a great http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684, and has a very good chance of success.” Rivaldo admitted."
Barcelona are leading the table with eight points having played six games so far, and on this Sunday they will host their bitter rivals, Real Madrid, at Camp Nou.
