River Dubh to spark in Changeyourworld Memorial Sprint at Coventry
Despite the presence of many giants, River Dubh should not be ignored in the Changeyourworld Memorial Sprint at Coventry on Sunday, August 26, 2012.
The black dog is making a huge step up in the class, and will be under some pressure. Yet, it is hard to take anything away from him, as he is in superb form at the moment.
A couple of fantastic victories have boosted up his confidence significantly, and the dashing hound is looking good to complete his hat-trick in a tremendous fashion.
After making a few unlucky rides, the son of Razldazl Billy finally succeeded in putting his journey on the right track. He crushed Lady Jaro by one and a quarter lengths, before sealing another emphatic victory at Swindon.
Leading the proceedings all the way through, C. Stringer’s charge bagged the victory by half a dozen lengths. After two brilliant wins, River Dubh’s confidence is at a high, and there is no reason why he should not come up with a solid show today.
A pack of five dangerous hounds will try to stop him from making his moves today. Their names are: Slick Shane, Bowtime Honcho, Shreyas Trojan, Up For Sam and Westmead Lolo.
The 263 metres flat race will be started off at 19:09 GMT. It carries a handsome prize worth £500, which will be given to the champion runner.
Bowtime Honcho is a star hound, and has the advantage of starting the affair from the red box. Nevertheless, one needs not to trust him blindly especially after a couple of embarrassing defeats he suffered lately.
Slick Shane is running well in defeat. So, a huge slice of luck is required to produce a positive result this time. Up For Sam is coming off a bitter loss, and his confidence would have been shaken badly.
Shreyas Trojan is yet to settle down at this level. Similarly, Westmead Lolo is unlikely to do something special on his promotion to this class.
River Dubh should be preferred, because he looks to be the only one in good form. The rest of the crew needs luck to turn things around. Good luck to all the hounds.
