Rivermist Sophie to take away the Stadium Bookmakers Ladies Standard on 27th February
The Stadium Bookmakers Ladies Standard on Monday, 27th February will get hosted by Nottingham, raced over 500 metres flat. The £200 prize money will get battled over by six hounds who will race today.
Miss Slick, Ballymac Maeve’s three-year-old white and blue daughter out of b***h Bling Bling Flo, has very recently posted her 2012 debut victory. She won the Betfred Standard Trophy – Final on 20th February at Nottingham. Miss Slick had to share
the victory with Drahbeg Lady due to a dead heat as both went through the wire in 30.41 seconds.
Droopys Beano, the 4/5 favourite of the race, finished fourth after the two winners.
From the seven starts that Miss Slick made during 2012, she won once, came second thrice and lost in the rest of the starts.
If Miss Slick does not fail in displaying her talent in today’s race then she will be successful in posting another victory and this time she might not end in a dead heat.
Another hound with the potential to stand out and win the race is Rivermist Sophie, Hondo Black’s four-year-old black daughter out of b***h Amolee Wendy. She struck her first victory during her third start of the season.
Rivermist Sophie won a Grade A2 500 metres flat race on 21st January at Nottingham. She was through the distance in 30.99 seconds and led by ¾ of a length. The 9/4 favourite of the race, Cherry Bomb, finished third, taking 31.33 seconds to clock
the distance.
Rivermist Sophie’s most recent victory was in a Grade A2 500 metres race on 21st February at Nottingham. Gunning in for the wire, Rivermist Sophie took 30.79 seconds to make it on the other side of the wire.
Rooneys Miss, the 5/2 favourite for the race, finished a dreadful sixth.
Today’s race is the chance for Rivermist Sophie to take her 2012 victories up to three.
Rathglass Annie is another entry that posted a victory very recently, on 15th February, she won a 480 metres race in 29.38 seconds while in lead of 1 ¾ lengths. Second in line behind her was Foxy Red. From the three times that she has raced in
2012, she won once and has been placed twice by taking the third place.
