  1. The best fine dining restaurant is Mario's Place. It is across the street from the Mission Inn. You can read the menu and look at pictures here:

    My favorite Mexican places are:

Papi's on Central (there's also one in Canyon crest, but it is not as good)

    Tio's Tacos on Mission

    Templo Del Sol on University

Those are all smaller places with authentic Mexican food, but if you like more of a restaurant chain atmosphere there's always El Torrito or Chipotle.

There is a great BBQ place in Moreno Valley called P.H. Woods. You can look at that menu here:

And definitely follow the advice of the other person who said Simple Simon's and The Backstreet. They both have the best Sandwiches and atmosphere.

  2. ***Tina's on University.  They have the best Tamales.  I buy them and take them home with me to PA.  I visit Rsde (my hometown) a couple times a year and always order the tamales and take them home w/me!

My son orders them and freezes them for me and then I pack them real good and take home a couple dozen.  They last me until my next trip out.

. . . another good authentic spot is Dells in Colton on LaCadena.  It's been there for years and years and is Great!!!!!  It's not formal, but it's oh so good!  I've eaten there for over 30 years!

  3. If you like mexican food, you have to try the Green onion in Moreno Valley, It's located on Day street, right off Box Springs inside the Toy's R Us shopping center. My husband loves mexican food, and It's his favorite restaurant, It's always good, fast, and affordable. If you crave Chinese, try The Grand Buffet on sunnymead, good varieties of food, and very good, only $6 for lunch, and It's all you can eat!!

  4. Imperial Dragon in the Jurupa Spectrum off Limomite.

  5. The best deli in Riverside Simple Simons across from the Mission Inn.

Back Street Cafe has great back yard ambiance for lunch and dinner, food is okay.

Many of the chain restaurants are either at Tyler Galleria or Riverside Plaza.

Sevilla is great Spanish (not Mexican) food. Near downtown.
