Riverside Talbot to continue his successful run in Carling Standard 462 at Yarmouth
Riverside Talbot is not a regular runner at the open level, but his consistent run is quite fascinating. After narrowly missing the top position at Henlow, the black dog put his campaign back on the winning ways, when sealing a comfortable victory at Yarmouth
last week.
J. A. White’s trainee has a magnificent track record at Yarmouth, as he was an easy winner here on last two occasions. The maverick hound is in very good shape and despite the fact that there are some big names in the line-up, one can expect him to strike
his Yarmouth hat-trick by winning the Carling Standard 462 on Wednesday, August 15th.
Among his rivals are: Isheforreal, Offshore Rebel, Parkers Nemesis, Kinda True and Jackdaw Summer. The £175 open race will be kicked off at 20:41 GMT.
Offshore Rebel is a dangerous hound, and will start the proceedings from the first trap today. The blue dog has been struggling with his form over the past few weeks. His last success hit the headlines at the start of last month, when he won a 550 metres
open race by three lengths at Henlow. We are reluctant to recommend him for the top rank, but he will surely be in the mix.
Isheforreal is another to watch out for. But inconsistency is a major concern for his supporters. After winning a 420 metres race at the end of last month, the white and black dog failed to continue his good work, and was routed by Lil Risky twice earlier
this month. The David Pruhs-trained has plenty of experience under his belt, and will certainly be a major player tonight.
Parkers Nemesis was outclassed by Riverside Talbot last time. So, he would be under some pressure against the same rival. Jackdaw Summer looked completely out of rhythm on his last couple of outings. Kinda True was an impressive A1 winner here earlier this
week, but this a lot tougher.
It looks like a two way battle between Isheforreal and Riverside Talbot. Since the latter is more consistent, the punters should prefer him. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
