Rizla Suzuki reveals its new livery – MotoGP news
Rizla Suzuki has unveiled the new 2011 official livery of GSV-R.
Alvaro Bautista will be running as the sole primary rider for Rizla Suzuki team. The new dress code for Rizla Suzuki GSV-R has a revised design, but with a same blue-tone color which has presented Suzuki team for long time.
The Rizla Suzuki feature new livery design inspired by Troy Lee Designs also carries the contemporary Rizla logo that will be launched by the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP team.
The new 2011 MotoGP, Rizla Suzuki GSV-R will debut in front of media and fans, officially, at the final pre-season test session held coming weekend at Losail, Qatar.
The first season opener race will also be held on March 20, 2011 at Qatar.
This is the last edition of the 800cc four-stroke MotoGP machines, as the officials have changed the regulation for the return of 1000cc four-stroke for the upcoming season.
The team rider, Bautista has performed well and improved during the first two pre-season tests held at Sepang International Circuit last month.
He got sick during the first three days of the  test session, but still managed to perform during at test and concluded at 10th place overall with a delay of 0.930 seconds from the lead.
In the second pre-season test session, Bautista was going better as compared to last session and stood on eighth place by the final day with the gap of 1.529 seconds slower than lead.
Although Honda machine were the dominators on the timesheet, but the improvements can prove Bautista a potential competitor for the 2011 MotoGP season.
Suzuki engineers have enhanced the machine in various aspects. The new 2011 GSV-R has an engine with improved horsepower, better driving ability and long run durability. These developments are the result of hard efforts of Suzuki engineers made during the
winter break and pre-season testing sessions.
A key feature that has been improved is the acceleration, guiding out of corners for better power usage.
To cope up with the improved horsepower and make the optimum use of it, the engineers have also made some changes in the chassis and improved its stiffness balance of the frame. The rear swin-garm also improved the geometry of weight balance in resulting
for a better traction, comparatively to last season’s machine.
The new stiffer chassis has been accompanied with the hi-tech electronics, as the most advanced ECU software ever used on the Suzuki’s MotoGP machine.
It will provide Alvaro Bautista with a better traction and wheelie control, which will make the GSV-R a better all condition performer.
As previously know, GSV-R is said to have some problems at the track with lower temperatures, as Qatar race is held under flood lights at late hours.
