Rizla Suzuki rider Alvaro Bautista hopeful of a better home show at Motorland Aragon – MotoGP news
Rizla Suzuki team rider Alvaro Bautista is convinced to show his potential during the 14th MotoGP round taking place at Motorland Aragon, Spain.
The Spanish rider is confident about his and Suzuki’s current position that he can deliver a good performance at the third home event in the 2011 season.
Bautista said, “This was a really good event last year and I am looking forward to going back. It's a fun track, a fantastic facility and a circuit that I think we can go really well at. I am feeling very confident that we can run well right from the start
and get a good qualifying position.”
Earlier in the season, he was sidelined for a couple of rounds due to a fractured left femur. He broke his left thighbone during the Qatar race weekend for which he had to miss the Jerez round.
After the first home event, he came back at Estoril. However, while attending the second home event at Catalunya, he was let down by a reviving pain in his leg but despite of that, he courageously finished at the 12th position.
Now coming to the end of the season, the Spaniard has improved his positions in the race and is excited about his home event.
Bautista added, “It's great to race at home again, I do it four times a year, but each one seems special to me. I want to put on a good show for all the Spanish fans and think that we have the package and data to be able to do that.”
The Spanish rider is looking forward to reform the race setup of his Suzuki GSV-R for the important event. In the last couple of races, he has been steadily fighting for the top ten slots and has also successfully finished above tenth position.
At Laguna Seca and Brno, he crashed but later at Indy and Misano he regained his lost confident and fought hard in the heat.
Currently he is seen challenging the factory Ducati riders and occasionally the Yamaha Factory rider Ben Spies. Let’s see how he fares in the upcoming rounds of the 2011 MotoGP season.
