Rizla Suzuki team to appear with Bautista, Hopkins at upcoming Czech Republic GP – MotoGP news
Rizla Suzuki team will appear with two riders, Alvaro Bautista and John Hopkins at the upcoming Brno event.
The 11th MotoGP event will take place in Czech Republic on August 14, 2011.
John ‘Hopper’ Hopkins will be seen as a teammate of Bautista while enjoying his second will card entry in the MotoGP class.
Earlier in the season at Jerez, Hopkins rode as a substitute for Bautista while he was going through rehabilitation.
Bautista said, “I've been relaxing since the last race with a few days at the beach and now I'm training hard and looking forward to Brno. The last two races have been very positive and I think as a whole we are in the best position we have been since I've
been in MotoGP.”
The Spanish rider is focused to continue the effort that has proved his progress in the recent events. Bautista has also been able to defeat the Ducati duo at Sachsenring. His improved confidence and pace has made him a strong racer in recent races.
Bautista added, “I had an injured back at Brno last year and couldn't ride at my best, but I'm 100 per cent now and will be pushing from day one. I hope John has a good weekend and enjoys himself; it will be good to have him there as it will give us the
chance to push each other along.”
The Spaniard is pleased to work along the American rider, John Hopkins. He expects that both riders will make a good team to further develop the Suzuki GSVR. He hopes to deliver his maximum at the upcoming MotoGP event.
The American BSB series rider, John Hopkins has been racing in three series this season. His full time commitment is for British Superbike series with Samsung Crescent Suzuki team.
Hopper also raced at the World Superbike event held at Silverstone, scoring a pole position for the race day. In the last weekend, he was racing in a BSB series event Brands Hatch. In his third consecutive race weekend, he will be fighting at MotoGP stage
in Brno. Let’s see how he fares.
