  1. So now we must add making fun of our elders to the bag of acceptable targets.  So that I understand, juvenile children to deceased former presidents is whom the anti-McCain/Palin crowd has chosen to attack.

  2. he was suffering from alzheimers.  never forgetting who you are is a figure of speech.  and memory erosion from these types of things attacks episodal memory more than procedural memory.

  3. Because it's the same as pleading the 5th amendment without looking so guilty.  I don't recall also means " it didn't happen in real life"  in other words Reagan was telling the prosecutor he's full of BS and he isn't going to answer that question.

  4. Did we ever get the definition of "is"?

how about "I went there but I never knew that Rev. Wright"

  5. What wasteful Congressional witch-hunt was that in response to?  I don't recall anything to that effect, so if you could please elaborate, that would be helpful.

  6. Because when you are questioned by a bunch of hostile Senators who want to impeach you, that's even better than taking the 5th.

  7. I dunno - why did Clinton say "I did not have s*x with that woman, Miss Lewinski" and "it depends on what the meaning of "is" is"

Why did Clinton's National Security Advisor Sandy Berger steal and destroy documents pertaining to Osama bin Laden from the National Archives?

  8. Its not nice to speak ill of the dead.

Although he left office with a lot of national debt, and he failed in a military attack he supported, he was very successful in peace keeping and in the breaking down of the Berlin Wall.

As a person he is highly regarded and very well licked.

He wasn't a perfect president, but he did have a very high approval rating by most Americans.

I commend his wife most for standing by him, and staying with him through thick and thin in his battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

President Reagan was a good man.  Mrs. Reagan was a saint!
