I had house guests a few weeks ago and now I've been seeing roaches. I saw two in the kitchen and another in my tub. I went insane spraying roach killers but I don't think they are gone. Please give me some effective-safe treatments because I don't want to poison my doggie.

  1. there are wall outlet insect killers that kill insects fast

    just search for them

  2. It's all right, go get your shoe, silly!!!!!!!!!\

    Good luck

    One word for you, "SMACK"

  3. I heard you can use boric acid (sp?) I guess you make something like cookie dough with the boric acid in it, unscrew your electric socket plates and put it in there. The roaches will take it back to the nest, share it and die.

Here is a link to a page I thought might be helpful: www.ca.uky.edu/entomology/entfacts/ef614...

    Good luck

  4. You should spray the insecticide around the outside edges of your house and in the edges of the rooms you have seen them in. This should kill them, if they aren't gone soon then you should call a professional exterminator to get rid of the bugs. I'm pretty sure if you ask them they know how to do it without putting your dog in danger. Also you want to get this under control right away because as the saying goes "for every roach you see there are thousands more". Also if you have neighbors the roaches could be coming from their house. If you have an apartment or connected house they may be coming from the neighbors and it will be an ongoing battle unless you and the neighbor are both trying to kill the pests. Because if only you are, then the roaches will run to their house until the insecticide wears off then they will come back into your house. So just be aware i guess. Good luck!

oh. P.S. try not to kill them with your shoe if you see them outside or anything because if the roach has eggs they will be stuck to your shoe and then you will track the eggs through out your houes and will have an even bigger problem when they hatch!

  5. put out some of the poison plastic roach trappers in the corners or by holes

  6. aw im a dog lover too, i guess spray in places the dog cant get to and take the dog to a friends until your done spraying the places he can get to so it can dry and settle.

    take care

  7. Get a fogger & take your dog somewhere for a couple of hours. I'd say your houseguest left some old food under the bed. Also, wipe down your counters.

  8. Your best bet would be to call an exterminator.  Remember, where there is one roach there are a hundred you cannot see.  The exterminator would be able to see just how bad your infestation is, and would be able to get rid of them completely for you.
