  1. I personally am a mountain bike bike guy. but it all depends on the person, if you are looking to stay on the road and go fast, then the road bike is for you. But if you are looking for a bike that you can go in the back country with and go on trails that other bikes aren't meant for,but not go as fast, then the mountain bike is for you. But i would say, if you are a road bike guy, please dont buy wal mart bikes. Yes they look nice, but they wont last long. I have worked on them and they are nasty little things. I would personally consult a proffesional on what brand you would want. But dont get a Huffy, please.

  2. Tiagra / Sora are low end parts. I would'nt go for anything below 105 myself.

  3. It is up to you if you want to spend that kind of money. It is a pretty good bike for  $600.

  4. I think this is a legitimate deal.  It's a good road bike and the seller has a good feedback rating and has had the eBay account open for more than six years.

The Trek dealer will be sure it is adjusted properly for you when you pick it up and you will be fully covered by warranties.  It will be as though you purchased it directly from the store.  They make money and you get a good deal.  It's win/win.  Trek has these contest promotions all the time.

Go for it.  There are already sixteen bids at this time.  It can't hurt to try.

    Good Luck.

  5. yes if it is a good one

  6. Consider the odds of getting this bike from EBay after 16 people have bid on it. The price bid is already at $610 and the retail price new is 950 approximately, so your chances of getting it for a bargain is slim. Try go bargain hunting at a bike shop where they can recommend good products for what you want to pay. They will also guarantee or warrant the bike.

    Spartawo...

  7. It might be worth it, but you won't get professionally fitted, like you would in a bike shop. Nor would yo get any free tune ups. Plus I would also question things like warranty etc...

Why the thumb downs? Because I'm telling the truth?
