Question:

Road noise after tire rotation?

My boyfriend rotated my tires over the weekend. I ended up having to take them in after that and have them balanced. The steering wheel was shaking really bad. Now, I have what seems like really loud road noise. It was never this loud before the rotation. It seems to be louder when I'm driving at slower speeds and gets better as I speed up. Do you think it's caused by having newer tires up front? Or could it be another problem all together? Keep in mind that I had no problems with the car at all until my boyfriend rotated the tires. Thanks so much!

  1. Sounds like you're hearing the extra tread from the rear tires being moved to the front .  The reason you rotate them in the first place.
