Road trip across America, with a haunted theme!!

Hi everyone, I really enjoy campfire tales and things that go bump in the night! LOL

I live in Chicago and my boyfriend and i are planning on taking a road trip with a haunted theme to it. In other words, we would like to vist and or stay in places that have a scay past. So my question is, is there a website that can tell u where these places are?

We already plan to visit the stanley hotel in colorado, so i would like to stay west if i could but i an open to ideas, any help would be great!

  1. If you go to San Diego the famous Hotel Del in Coronado is very old and is rumored to be haunted...


  2. A haunted road trip would be incomplete without a visit to Salem, MA.  Also, the Travel Channel has info on there site as well.  

  3. Check out the SciFi Channel's website for Ghosthunters or check the TAPS/Ghosthunters website to check out some of the places that they've gone that are open to the public.

    I know they've been to the Stanley Hotel, but they've also been to the Myrtle Plantation in Louisiana, the St. Augustine Lighthouse in Florida, the Queen Mary, in San Diego and a few places out west like the OK Corral.  I also know that they stayed at the Cashtown Inn in Gettysburg, PA.  They might give you some good ideas of places you should visit.
