Roadside Emergency Kit?

I am putting together a roadside emergency kit for my girlfriend's car. Does anyone have any good recommendations for the not too obvious things I can include. Or does anyone know any companies that are making really good ones?

  1. Canadian Tire sells a decent "Auto Safety Kit" for about $40 and you might want to supplement this with any additional items.

    From the website of the  Canadian Red Cross, they recommend the following:

    Emergency Kit For Your Car

        * Battery powered radio and extra batteries

        * Flashlight and extra batteries

        * Blanket

        * Booster cables

        * Fire extinguisher (5 lb., A-B-C type)

        * First aid kit and manual

        * Bottled water and non-perishable high energy foods, such as granola bars, raisins and peanut butter.

        * Maps

        * Shovel

        * Tire repair kit and pump

        * Flares

  2. jumper cables ,fixaflat,2pd 10abc fire extingusher,pair of gloves,flashlight, small handtools ie crescent wrench screwdriver and pliers

  3. You can get them at wal mart pep boys or auto zone an advanced auto

  4. Don't buy the one AAA sells it sucks. In my car I keep

    Blanket (if caught in a snow storm)

    Shovel (they make ones that fold up small)

    Flashlight (the kind with the 4 different lights like hazard lights)

    Car Jack

    Spare Tire

    Bottled Water

    Box of Crackers

    Screwdriver

    Box of Fuses

    Jumper Cables

    If she has 2 X vehicle maybe snow chains

    Gas Can

    I made my own safety kit and bought everything that I listed above at Target the only reason that I suggested the 4 way flashlight is it works great if its dark as like a hazzard light so someone doesn't slam into you. Also if you live somewhere where it gets cold and storms and her car dies you don't know how long before someone may be able to get to her. I don't have AAA insurance but pay the $100. a year for my safety, if anything happens to my car I know that they will be out there to put gas in, tow me to safety, or change my flat tire. The $100. is so well worth the money but make sure that she keeps the card in her glovebox because if it's not with her they won't help her out unless she has the card with her.

  5. You can probably purchase a kit for less than buying the individual components.   Then,  add an accident kit  from you insurance company.

  6. AAA+ membership

    Jumper pack with a cigarette lighter socket.

    cigarette lighter cord for her cell phone.

    ......plus the stuff from the first post. tho make sure you get the correct bullets

  7. blanket

    jumper cables

    condoms

    44 Magnum

    bulletproof vest

    C4

    sub machine gun

    bullets

  8. jumper cable, blankets(2-3) , first aid kit, flashlight, antifreeze, water, oil, flares, portable radio, change of clothes, matches/lighter and heavy coat... u can buy one from pepboy autozone walmart and add on to it also
