Rob Parker commits his future to Leigh Centurions - Rugby News

Former Bradford Bulls forward, Rob Parker, has agreed to a new deal at his hometown club, Leigh Centurions, on Thursday, December 1.
While talking about Parker’s uptake, the Centurions Chief Executive, Trevor Barton said, "The club are delighted to welcome a player and person of Rob's calibre. He has played his entire career in Super League up until this point and we are pleased he has
chosen to join us at the Sports Village."
Before inking a deal with his home town club, the player also played for Salford Reds and Warrington Wolves in Super League. He spent the last two months of 2011 serving his loan period at the Castleford Tigers, where he made a total of eight appearances
and also earned eight points. He played for Tigers in the Challenge Cup semi-final loss against Leeds during the same time period.
The 30-year-old is the product of amateur club Leigh East, where he played his junior rugby league. In 2000, the player made his debut with Bradford Bulls and continued playing with them until 2005. During his stay at the club, the player played a total
of 96 games with the club, where we scored 14 tries and 56 points. Whilst his stint at Bulls, Parker also spent 2001 with London Broncos, where he amassed four points and scored a try in a total of 9 games he played for the club.
At Bulls the second-rower continued playing well and studded his profile with a number of feats to his credit. His commendable performance won him Super League medals in 2003 and 2005. He was also part wining side in Challenge Cup Final 2003 and World Club
Challenge 2004. The player sat out the 2003 Grand Final against Wigan but he played for Bulls in the Grand Final defeat to Leeds the next year.
His stint at Bulls was brimming with accomplishments, which spoke a great deal about Bull’s star who is well known for his skill as both second rower and forward. In 2004, as an acknowledgement off his exceptional skill, the player was offered to lead England
to the European Nations Cup.
After playing for Bulls the player joined in with Warrington Wolves in 2006 from where he departed in 2008, scoring 24 tries and 6 tries in a total of 66 games he played for them.  
In 2009, the player reigned in as the captain at Salford City Reds succeeding club’s long time skipper, Malcolm Alker. He stayed there until 2011 and scored 4 tries and earned 16 points in the 40 games he played for his side.  
The player is loved for his work in the world of rugby which is evident from his extraordinary record. His uptake at Centurions is going to benefit the club a great deal because he has a lot to offer.
