Previously, the player intended to move back to Cumbria for which he had to bid farewell to Harlequins RL. About his move, it was revealed that the 30-year-old English international took the step because he wanted to return to his family farm for some time.
It appeared he would only temporarily take a break and would return soon to offer his on-field services in the world of Rugby League but this confusion was not much prolonged as it was clarified with his retirement announcement.
While talking to reporters, the English loose forward explained and said, “I have enjoyed every minute of being a professional player and my 10 years in London will live with me forever. I have met and played with some very special people over the years
and feel very privileged to have done so. I wish London Broncos all the best for the future.”
He added, “The Testimonial has been very hard work for everyone involved and it would never have happened without a great committee. It has gone very well so far even without a Testimonial game, which we couldn't get the go-ahead from the club.”
