the decision.
The winger insisted that the manager could have gone anywhere as he had a host of opportunities but opting for Bayern is a great honour for his side. He stressed that Pep’s decision shows how far Bayern have gone in the recent
years.
“I heard his name on Tuesday on the radio, while I was at the club having a massage. But you do not know as a player whether or not it is true. You think, it could be a stunt, because he could go anywhere,” he was quoted as saying
in an interview.
The Dutch international was all praise for t he former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 manager and claimed that the tactician’s attacking style of play would certainly benefit many players at Bayern Munich. He added that Guardiola will fit in well with
Bayern philosophy and is looking forward to work with one of the best managers in the world in the summer.
“I think it is a very interesting choice and I think at first glance Guardiola may fit well at Bayern. He is an adventurous and attacking coach, who fits at a club that shows guts,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich were initially in talks with Jupp Heynckes on a deal extension but the current manager refused to extend his stay as he wants to retire from the game. The club had a few options but they went for an ambitious choice
and succeeded.
