The Dutchman claimed that the team’s target was to claim all three points and remain at the top when this round of the league ended. The player admitted that Bayern were definitely playing for a win against Stuttgart as they knew
any slip-up could cost them the top spot to Borussia Dortmund. He added that Bayern are now in a very good position in the title race as Dortmund dropped two points this weekend in their match against FC Kaiserslautern.
The Bavarian giants downed Die Roten at the Mercedes-Benz-Arena on Sunday with a 2-1 score line courtesy a brace from German international Mario Gomez. The club is now leading the table with 34 points and is three points ahead
of current German champions, Borussia Dortmund.
Robben claimed that the team is delighted with the result and played a great game. He praised the side’s character and determination in the clash and insisted that Bayern will win the title if they continue playing like this. He
added that it is good to have a three point cushion at the top but still warned the players against complacency as the competition is very strong amongst the top five.
“We're very pleased with the outcome of the game. Our only target was the three points, and we've managed to achieve just that. No one was expecting Dortmund to drop points, but we've won our match so it's been a good day all together,”
the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player was quoted as saying in an interview.
The Dutch international is also overjoyed with his form since his return from injury. He admitted that he is working hard to reach full fitness and wants to be consistent in scoring goals as he did last season.
“I'm just focussing on my game. I've been through a difficult period. What matters most to me is making it out onto the field. That's what counts,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will next face FC Koln in the Bundesliga clash at the Allianz Arena on Friday. The Munich giants will be looking for their 12th win of the season.
