The Bayern Munich winger has expressed his delight at the club’s return to form after weeks of criticism.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 is ecstatic at Bayern’s recent show in all the competitions which has seen them scoring 20 goals in their last three outings. The winger mentioned that it has been an extraordinary week and the team has gelled well
under pressure. He also stated that each individual is focussed and well aware of the responsibilities.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international admitted that the German media tried their best to impose extra pressure on the Reds but the players did well by keeping their focus. He claimed that the media has played no role in Bayern’s revival
and it is the players who have worked extremely hard in training to improve on their performances.
While talking to reporters, the former Real Madrid star further added:
"I have never had a week like that before; I am really enjoying it. We didn't get confused by the talk and simply carried on. You could notice the upward trend in training and we established a closer dialogue. That was very important.
And then along came Hoffenheim."
On the other hand, Robben also commented on his team’s emphatic display in the last three games. Bayern went rampant against Hoffenheim last week and defeated them 7-1 before embarrassing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 7-0 in the second-leg of their
UEFA Champions League knock-out tie. The Reds recently hammered Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 6-0 to claim all three points.
This mini revival has allowed the Munich giants to get back in the contention for a treble at the end of this season. The Dutchman confirmed that Bayern are seeking to win silverware this term but stressed at the importance of
maintaining concentration as the season is moving towards its close.
"The last week was outstanding. We are having fun again after a difficult time for us, so everybody can celebrate a little bit. But we have to carry on, everybody knows that," Robben concluded.
After a difficult restart, Bayern have fought back brilliantly and also qualified for the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League where they are paired with Olympique Marseille. They will next be in action against Lucien Favre’s
Borussia Monchengladbach in the semi-final of the German Cup on March 21.
