Tottenham Hotspur striker, Robbie Kean, has claimed that Manchester City goalkeeper, Shay Given, will soon get back to playing on a regular basis. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Republic-of-Ireland-c2987 International has endured a miserable 2010/11 season with Manchester City, having lost
his place in the team to England goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Joe-Hart-c18699.
Given has made no secret of his disappointment at becoming the number two shot-stopper at the Eastlands. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 International, Joe Hart, has established himself as a mainstay in Manchester City starting eleven, leaving Given’s future at the club in serious
doubt. He has hardly featured for the Sky Blues this season, and there are reports that the goalkeeper will be leaving City in the summer transfer window.
Given has already made up his mind on the matter. He recently revealed that he would http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Love-c22466 to play for Scottish club, Celtic, next season. However, whether or not Manchester City allow him to leave is another matter entirely. It is believed that Given was
looking for a way out of the club in the January transfer window, but his exit was blocked by manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323.
Fellow countryman, Robbie Keane, believes that Given will leave Manchester City in the summer transfer window. The striker claims that Shay Given will be saved from his Manchester City purgatory by a club which appreciates his immense talents as a goalkeeper.
Speaking on the matter, Keane said, “I'm biased because I have worked with Shay and he is a good friend but, not only that, he is a top-class goalkeeper. It has been a frustrating season for him and he has come out and said that. But I am sure in the summer,
after getting these games behind him, he'll look forward to a break and he'll certainly get a club for next season, no doubt about that.”
He added, "Whoever does buy him would be getting a world-class goalkeeper and someone who is great to have around the dressing room as well."
Keane hasn’t had the most fruitful of seasons himself. The Spurs striker was deemed surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, and he was loaned out to recently relegated West Ham United in the second half of the campaign.
