Robbiesgoneagain and Shortenmystory joint favourites for SIS Live Top Dog Deal A1
Robbiesgoneagain and Shortenmystory are joint favourites for the SIS Live Top Dog Deal A1 at Shelbourne Park in Ireland on Saturday, March 24, 2012. A cash prize of €400 will be awarded to the triumphant greyhound.
The race will start at 19:50 GMT and a total of six quality runners will be seen in action. Following are the confirmed entries: Robbiesgoneagain, Shortenmystory, Airforce Liberty, Ullid April, Big Momma Pumpin and Ballymoney Ashe.
It seems that the real competition will be amongst Robbiesgoneagain and Shortenmystory, who have won the best odds by the bookmakers. They are very decent runners and have been doing well in this class.
The former of the above two hounds has been in good form recently, thus he will have better chances of finishing on top of the table. The punters will also be interested in placing a lot of bets in his favour, considering his rhythm.
O'Flynn’s trainee does not have a lot of experience, but he is quite capable of winning races at this level. He participated in a couple of race at Shelbourne Park recently and did well in them. He finished runner up in his most recent outing, which suggests
that he has the momentum to win races.
The black dog was rated as favourite to win his last race, as the bookmakers had awarded him with a starting price of 7 to 4. However, he failed to meet the expectations, finishing second in the race. A much better performance is expected from him this time
around.
Today’s favourite hound is the son of Hondo Black out of Ask Louise and was born in June 2010.
On the other hand, Shortenmystory will also be a strong contender for victory today. He has not been in good form recently, thus the bettors will have lesser confidence in his abilities.
However, Mason’s trained runner has been running quite regularly at Shelbourne Park, which means he will be fully aware of the conditions. He managed to set a very decent trial time at this venue, but his last few race performances have been below par.
The black dog is the son of Droopys Kewell out of Golf and was born in April 2010.
It appears that the rest of the hounds will be unable to match the top two favourites. However, their trainers will be hoping for an upset at Shelbourne Park today.
