Robemaker tipped to win Poker At bet365.com Handicap
Robemaker is tipped to win the Poker At bet365.com Handicap at Sandown in England on Saturday, April 28, 2012. The winner of the class-2 event will be awarded a cash prize of £12,450.
The going will be heavy in the 1 mile 14 yard race, which is scheduled to start at 16:50 GMT. A total of six runners will be seen in action and their names are as follows: Robemaker, Tullius, Mawaakef, Weapon Of Choice, Bronze Prince and Sam Sharp.
Earlier, eight horses had lined up for the race, but Farhh and Diverting have been ruled out of action because of injury. The former of the two has got a terrific record and was expected to do well at Sandown today.
The four-year-old colt has participated in a couple of events until now and was victorious in both of them. He was carrying terrific rhythm and it would have been extremely hard for his rivals to stop him from winning. However, he will have to wait
for another opportunity now once he regains 100 percent fitness.
Looking at the statistics of the other horses, the bookmakers have given the best odds to Robemaker. He is a decent runner and might finish ahead of everyone in the race. However, the punters might not risk a lot of money in his favour, as his recent
performances have not been up to mark.
The four-year-old colt has participated in 11 races until now, winning one of them and finishing runner up on three occasions. Moreover, he has also secured the third spot once, which shows that he is a consistent performer.
In his most recent race, Robemaker was unable to make a sound impression, as he finished fifth. He was given the best odds back then as well, but failed to challenge his opponents. He will need a clear run in order to challenge his rivals in the race
at Sandown today.
The John Gosden’s trained runner will be partnered by William Buick, who has won quite a few races at this level, but needs to improve the overall strike rate. His recent form has been good, thus he is carrying very good momentum right now.
Other than the race favourite, Tullius will also be the one to watch out for in the race, as he is carrying the terrific momentum at the moment.
