Robert Earnshaw in contract talks with Nottingham Forest
Welsh striker Robert Earnshaw has revealed that he is in contract negotiations over a new deal to stay at Nottingham Forest.
Earnshaw's current contract at the City Ground is due to expire next spring. If he doesn't sign another contract then this would leave him free to join another club of his choosing.
"We have opened talks on the (contract) situation over the last couple of weeks and we will see how that goes.
This place feels good and I want to be here. Ever since I have been here it has been so good," he said to the
Nottingham Forest.
Earnshaw has many qualities that make him one of the most unique and important players at the club. Talks will have to move quickly because there are sure to be other clubs
interested in signing him.
A good striker
Earnshaw's best quality as a striker is the versatility he can display on the pitch. He is not a one trick pony and can play as a long striker holding the ball up, or as
a striker playing in the hole behind a big front man.
Pace has always been a key part of Earnshaw's game. He has enough pace to trouble the best defences in the Championship. His speed allows him to get in behind defences
to go one-on-one with a goalkeeper, which makes finishing slightly easier.
He's always been a popular and sought after striker, which means there are bound to be a few clubs monitoring his situation. Nottingham Forest is not a small or naive club
and should get this deal done in the very near future.
"I have seen this club go from League One and getting promotion to all of
a sudden seeing a big change around. We are now one of the top teams in this league and we are looking to take the next step," he added.
Betting advice
Earnshaw is a busy and active striker who is always looking to get into the action during a game. Make small bets on him scoring in any game whether it's a first scorer bet or
for him to score at any time.
