Former International Boxing Federation’s Super Featherweight champion and a former two-time IBF featherweight champion of the world, Robert Guerrero is going to be up against the current World Boxing Association’s interim Super Lightweight champion Marcos

The Ghost, Guerrero, who vacated his IBF Super Featherweight championship belt due to his wife’s battle with Leukaemia, reckons the 28-year-old Maidana is one of the hardest hitting guys in the sport of boxing.
The current unified IBF and WBA World Light Welterweight Champion, Amir Khan, won against Maidana via unanimous decision after 12 brutal rounds of boxing but did not offer the Argentinean a rematch and Guerrero believes it was because the Brit knew he would
not have been able to beat him.
The 28-year-old American pugilist, who has won 29 of his 33 fights (1 draw, 1 no contest) with 18 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, remarked a lot of people do not want to fight Maidana because they fear him. However, he said he is taking Maidana
on because he wants to give people what they want.
Guerrero said, “A lot of people duck Maidana. But it was my choice to fight him. I picked Marcos Maidana because he is one of the hardest hitting guys in boxing. I want to give the fans the best fights because I want to be the best. That is why we went with
Marcos Maidana.”
Many people think Guerrero is going to win the bout but on the same note, many boxing fans are claiming Maidana will emerge as a winner. Guerrero also commented on the odds and said people are excited about the bout because they know it will be an absolute
classic.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “You got the odds favoring me because I am a boxer. I have a lot of talent, power, and boxing skills. It makes for a great matchup. A lot of boxing fans are excited about this fight because it is going to be one
of those ones that people are going to remember for a long time.”
