the legend has to be true. he made a song called hellhound on my trail which was a song that was recorded on 6/20/37 the last day he recorded any of his music and a year and 1 month 1 month before his death .. Coincidence? i think not. also he had a song called me and the devil blues which probably means he was playing the blues with the gift that the devil gave him, and he had crossroad blues and a crossroad is where he made his deal to be a talented BLUES player.. now ask yourself why would somebody name songs by these names and how often do you hear a person say hellhound(a demonic dog from h**l who hunts down lost souls) especially in a song.. probably not a lot.

  1. I recently read a biography on RJ and he actually said that he never said anything about selling his soul--everybody else did. He just thought, aw h**l why not I'll go along with it. And thats what he did. Furthermore, "devil" could be a slang term or a code. In early blues "baby" is actually a term given to farmers/slave masters. So if that is true then devil could mean something else.

  2. Yes.  I think so too.  I actually bought his CD a few years ago.  It like has the whole story on Robert Johnson and stuff.  Apparently Robert Johnson had no real musical talent and use to hang around all these major muso's back in the day.  Then all of a sudden he like disappeared for ages.  When he came back he could jam!  They reckon at the stroke of midnight Robert Johnson met the devil at the crossroads and he tuned his guitar then after that he could jam any song he wanted.

  3. idk whatever
