Robert Key keeps captaincy of Kent cricket
Kent has announced that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Robert-Key-c2349 will stay as captain for the 2011 domestic season.
Key first took the role in 2006 but has been in charge during some bad spells. There were calls for someone else to be given the job after Kent's relegation to division two of the county championship.
"I am pleased to be given the captaincy again for 2011.
I now have the opportunity to hopefully put right the things we didn't do this year. It a great honour to be awarded a benefit and I fully appreciate how lucky I am
to receive one," said Key.

Key has been captain of Kent for five seasons and next season will be his sixth spell in charge. He has developed an experience of what is needed to lead the county on

first ball, which acts as inspiration to the rest of the side.
The 31-year-old is a very calm and mature player. This makes him the ideal person to help younger players break into the first team. Key has already played a large part
in the careers of Joe Denly and Sam Northeast.
