Robert Pires asks Arsenal to spend if they hope to improve – Premier League Update
Arsenal legend and former French international, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 Pires has asked Arsenal to go on and spend in the transfer market, or they could face a massive collapse at the club in the near future.
The Gunners have already seen the likes of Emmanuel Eboue, Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy part ways with the club and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicklas-Bendtner-c27726 seem to be on the verge of following through and making their way out of the Emirates as well.
Arsene Wenger has almost always been trying to take the cautious approach in the transfer market and the manager is looking to do the same this time around as well. However, the manager has now been put under the knife and his tactics have been hailed to
be rather hurtful to the club and its progress.
Pires, who was part of the Arsenal squad that won the teams last trophy way back in 2004, has gone on to urge Wenger to spend big in the market and recruit some experienced players, instead of just bringing in youth at the club once again.
When talking about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429, Wenger and the team’s transfer policies, Pires is quoted to have said: “The time has come for Arsene Wenger to think about investing the money from player sales into players with experience and more of a guarantee”

“I think other players have spoken with him and told him the same. The set-up has changed now.

“Before this, many players wanted to stay at Arsenal for a long time but this has changed now, too. Players leave now at their first chance.”
“I don’t think that they can rival the likes of Manchester City or http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 but you can’t win just with young players.”
Pires is not the first person to urge Wenger to spend money in the transfer window and he is more than likely to not be the last. The North London club seem to suffer from an inability to land any decent experienced players and should they continue to do
so, they would fall into a hole, which is going to be impossible to come out of.
The Gunners are no longer the team they once used to be and the only man who can help the team reclaim their former status is Arsene Wenger. The manager really needs to pull through this time around and prove his worth, by making some tantalizing transfers
in order to save himself, the club and the fans.
