Robert Radosz wins second stage taking overall lead in Dookola Mazowsza 2011 - Cycling News

BDC team’s Robert Radosz wins second stage of Dookola Mazowsza 2011 in Kozienice and also took the overall leader’s yellow jersey.
The 36-year-old Polish cyclists took the total of 3 hours, 58 minutes and 11 seconds to cover the distance of 163 kilometres.
Krzysztof Jezowski of BGZ was runner-up and Blazej Janiaczyk of CCC Polsat Polkowice finished third with same timing of Radosz. 80 cyclists crossed the finish line with the same timing of Sprinter.
Rudiger Selig (Jenatec-Cycling), Adam Wadecki (Aktio Group Mostostal Pulawy) and Leon Essink (Kanjers voor Kanjers) were in sixth, seventh and eighth place respectively.
The three cyclists including Sylwester Janiszewski, Arne Kenzler and Jakub Skrzeszewski took part in the first climb of the stage while Janiszewski gained points and took a lead but Grzegorz Haba increased his pace and took the second KOM.
Haba failed to hold his pace in the third KOM and Mariusz Wiesiak gained a lead but in the fourth climb Komar gained points ahead of Kowalczyk.  
After few kilometres to go, the four cyclists including Piotr Krajewski (Aktio Group Mostostal Pulawy), Mariusz Wiesiak (Repr Wojska Polskiego), Piotr Kirpsza (Aktio Group Mostostal Pulawy) and Jaroslaw Kowalczyk (Wielkopolska Regionalna) got away.
All of them managed to gain a lead of 3 minutes and 10 seconds and Jaroslaw took the first sprint of the stage. With just a few kilometres remaining, Sapa launched an attack and took the second sprint of the stage but they were caught by the peloton in the
last 20 kilometres.
Previously, Radosz took first place in Trail Grody Piastowskich and Tour of Hainan in 2007. He also took the first stage of Tour Idea Mazovia in 2005.
Rudiger Selig took the overall sprint classification ahead of Jezowski and Mariusz Wiesiak took the overall King of Mountain title ahead of Rodosz and Ziolkowski.
Radosz took the overall standing with the timing of 8 hours, 40 minutes and 57 second while Rudiger Selig was runner-up with 1 second behind Radosz.
Matej Jurco was in third place with the difference of 4 seconds ahead of Krzysztof Jezowski.
The next stage will start in Zwolen and end in Szydlowiec. All the cyclists will cover the distance of 161 kilometres.
