Robert Rock all set to rock the field at Trophée Hassan II in Morocco this week

Formidable Robert Rock, surprise winner of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, is all set to thrash the field at this week’s Trophée Hassan II in Morocco.
The Englishman, who landed his second European Tour title, defeating his idol and role model Tiger Woods in the final round, is currently eyeing a place in top-50 on the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR) in order to qualify for the coveted Masters for
the first time in his career.
He has a limited time window to do the same and will need a victory in Morocco to achieve the same.
Rock will be returning to the Golf du Palais Royal in Agadir, where the event will be held for the second consecutive year.
He shot into contention in the event last year before he fell for a disappointing round on the third day to fall out.
Regardless of the loss, Rock proved that he has learned his lessons and went to land his first tour title, the Italian Open presented by CartaSi in June.
He is hoping to continue with his winning streak for the moment.
He said, “I maybe let the tournament slip away last time, it was around the time I felt like I should have been threatening to win one, and luckily I did later on. I was on top form and maybe pushed it a little too much towards the end to try to win”.
Like many on the field who are truly inspired of having the honour of playing on the royal course, Rock is also mesmerized by the thought of tee-ing off on the minutely manicured Robert Trent Snr. Design.
He added, “It’s a fantastic course. It’s the type of course I really look forward to playing. It’s an old style, tree-lined with some very interesting par threes. It’s one of the best venues on Tour, and it’s a really, really good tournament”.
Alongside Rock, Rhys Davies, winner of the 2010 episode as well as the defending champion David Horsey will be returning to their favourite hunting ground to land the title for the second time.
The total purse of the event is marked at €1.5million.
