Robert Warzycha focusing on tactics to land a win for Columbus Crew

on the team sheet. Andres Mendoza, however, has more chances of making the forward line-up.
The Dilemma doesn’t end there. The manager has to take care of the defensive lines as well. Rich Balchan will play the left-back role while Sebastian Miranda is likely to play on the opposite flank, right-back.
However, the dilemma for the coach is that Balchan is naturally a right-sided player who is being played out of position. Shifting Miranda to accommodate Balchan on the right side of the defence would be unfair on the 30-year-old, who has played his heart
out on the right.

Both players were part of the Crew’s defence in the last two matches. However, the manager has witnessed some difficulties in the run of play. Comments from both the defenders are yet to surface.
As for the midfield, Crew boss has posted Emanuel Ekpo behind Andres Mendoza. The strategy is to play a five-man midfield with Ekpo taking the central attacking role. “It simplifies his game,” Warzycha said of Ekpo. “He feels more confident there.”
