Robert Zbogar pockets Men’s 100m IM title in Kranj: 2011 Slovenia Short Course Nationals
Day one evening session of the 2011 Slovenia Short Course Nationals saw several thrilling performances of competitive swimmers at the arena in Kranj, Slovenia, on Thursday, November 24.
Initially, the Men’s 100m Individual Medley title was taken over by Robert Zbogar in a nerve wrecking blot of 56.54 seconds. Meanwhile, Ziga Cerkovnik earned silver title in the respective race by clicking the finishing divider in a time of 57.32 seconds
and the bronze title went to Anze Tavcar in a time of 58.22 seconds.
In the meantime, the Men’s 50m back-stroke title was clinched by Robert Zbogar in a winning mark of 26.03 seconds. More importantly, it was second gold title of the meet for Zbogar. After the race, Safra earned second place honours by claiming the finishing
hurdle in a winning time of 27.56 seconds and the bronze title went to Vid Velickovic in a time of 27.74 seconds.
Additionally, Robert Zbogar claimed his third gold title of the meet in Men’s 200m butterfly event by clicking the finishing divider in a victorious mark of 1 minute and 57.98 seconds. Miha Bernat grabbed silver medal in the respective race by banging the
finishing hurdle in a time of 2 minutes and 06.05 seconds, whereas, Nejc Jurjevcic settled at third spot in a time of 2 minutes and 06.33 seconds.
Moreover, the Women’s 400m freestyle title was taken over by Klinar in a winning time of 4 minutes and 06.68 seconds. The swim moved her into the top-25 spots in the current ranking of world swimming. Ursa Bezan finished second in a time of 4 minutes and
11.03 seconds, while Nina Cesar settled at third place in a mark of 4 minutes and 11.18 seconds.
Last, but not the least, the Women’s 200m butterfly crown was pocketed by Klinar in a time of 2 minutes and 13.92 seconds. Meanwhile, Sofija Djelic earned second place honours in the respective race by banging the finishing divider in a time of 2 minutes
and 16.89 seconds and Mojca Sagmeister settled at third spot in a time of 2 minutes and 19.57 seconds.
