Roberto Carlos backs Zidane for Madrid http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 – Football News
With the departure of Jose Mourinho from the Spanish capital, the nine-time European champions, Real Madrid, are now without a coach. There have been rumours hinting the arrival of the PSG manager, Carlo Ancelloti,
at the Bernabeu, but the Real Madrid legend, Roberto Carlos, believes that Zinedine Zidane should take charge of the Spanish capital-based club.
Last season was a sheer disappointment for Los Blancos, as Jose Mourinho could not guide them to a single major trophy. They lost the Spanish La Liga with a huge margin, and couldn’t pick up a win against their
local city rivals, Atletico Madrid, in the final of the Copa del Rey. Later, they also got knocked out in the UEFA Champions League, where Borussia Dortmund made it difficult for them to reach the final of the European competition.
With the manager’s seat all up for grabs, there have been rumours that Carlo Ancelloti might take the helm of affairs at the Bernabeu. However, former Real Madrid player and legend, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Carlos-c31317, has backed
the French star, Zinedine Zidane for the prestigious job.
The Brazilian legend said, “Zidane is capable of holding any post inside Real Madrid. With his history, his calmness and his intelligence, he could do anything he likes. Coach, assistant Coach, a director, an
executive… He would do all of it with great assurance. He is a fantastic person for the club.”
He further added, “Ancelotti? He is a great manager, but the problem at Real Madrid is one of adaptation. Here no-one arrives and convinces from day one, we must adapt to the philosophy of the club. The Coach
that comes, be that Ancelotti or whoever, has to know that to work at Real Madrid is not easy.”
Real Madrid will be going through a phase of transfusion once the new coach is selected by the management. The Special One found it hard to entirely break Barcelona’s dominance, and the new coach will be expected
to do wonders with the club, as they are always expected to come out as winners against any team they play.
