Roberto Donadoni has blasted Cagliari President, Massimo Cellino, for sacking him from the managerial http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 for no reason.
Donadoni was sacked by the club days before the 2011/12 season and Cellino installed Massimo Ficcadenti in place of him. The former Italian manager is gutted with the President’s decision to sack him and showed his disappointment
with it.
The former Genoa boss added that the fans love him more than the President and he is extremely disappointed to leave a great bunch of players.
The 48-year-old admitted that he loved the time spent at Cagliari and thanked the fans and the players for making the time memorable. The tactician added that the fans showed great respect towards him and were always with him even
in his bad days.
Donadoni said, “I am very disappointed, as I had to leave a squad of lovely lads and a city I enjoyed living in. When I met them in the street, the people of Cagliari showed me great respect, something they did not have towards
the President. I was struck by that, as he seemed to be a completely different person to the one they described.”
The tactician added that Cellino understands the game well but he is an aggressive person who can make any decision whenever he feels like.
“Cellino is someone who understands football, but at times can also be extremely cruel. To this day I don’t understand the real reason why my time at Cagliari came to an end, especially as I’ve only been able to speak to director
general Marroccu.”
Cagliari have had a decent start to their 2011/12 season under Ficcadenti and have picked up three wins out of their opening five games thus far. The Rossoblu are placed 5th in the league table with only one point adrift
of league leaders, Juventus.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 manager is in the hunt to find a new employer and reports suggest that he has been contacted by a Qatari club for the managerial job.
