Mugabi in his prime really was a beast, but Duran i think was the better P4P fighter but lightmiddleweight wasent  really his best weight class. I see Mugabi possibly KO ing Duran late in the fight.

Wow.  Iran Barkley dominated Thomas Hearns (twice) but lost handily to Duran.  Ray Leonard beat both Hagler and Hearns, but at Ray's best, Duran beat Ray as well.  I got to figure Duran faced better over all competition during his career, and both fought and lost to Hagler.  Duran went a full 15 rounds with Marvin Hagler, Mugambi was KOed in an epic war with Marvin.

Other than Hearns, Duran's chin was pretty durable, but God knows Mugambi hit hard enough to KO just about anyone, including Duran.  I have always believed Duran's Achilles heel was boxers who moved, I never even considered anyone could stand toe to toe with Roberto (DeJesus did to an extent, but speed and quickness made it possible, even he couldn't out gun Duran).  John Mugambi might have been one who could duplicate Thomas Hearn's destruction of Duran, but unlikely.  I have great respect for both of these guys but I just don't see anyone out pressuring or beating down Duran, which is exactly what Mugambi was best at.

I think Roberto out slicks John, much the same way he did Barkley and Davey Moore to win a close hard fought decision.  I don't think Duran would be intimidated by Mugambi's reputation, and would have out boxed "the beast".

duran faced punchers before, including barkley, so i don't think he will be too apprehensive of the beast.

The first 5 rounds will be very excited since the beast is naturally bigger and stronger but Roberto is too skill and experience to be caught by wild punching, no matter how hard, Roberto will wear John out and TKO him late in the fight.
