Manchester City’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Tevez’s apology and expects the player to be back in the squad in the near future.
Mancini has gone on to confirm that Tevez has officially apologized to the club and to the manager himself and as a result, the Italian has forgiven the striker and will allow him to return to the City squad.
The City boss also went on to confirm that a private meeting was set up between the two and that the player’s future at the club was going to be discussed in the near future.
When talking about Tevez and his apology to the club, Mancini is quoted to have said: "I checked what Carlos said on his statement and tomorrow I will talk with him. I have accepted his apology."
He then went on to admit that he did indeed say that the Argentine’s future at the club was over, when the forward refused to play for the team. However, Mancini has now revealed that he had contacted Tevez later on and informed him that he just needed to
apologize and all would be forgiven.
"I did say he was finished at the time," http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 continued.
"But then one week after Munich I called him to my house and said ‘Carlos, apologise to everyone and this will be finished for me' - I don't have any problem.”
The manager has now gone on to put a rough estimate on just when the striker will be back in the team, as he believes that all he needs is two or three weeks to regain his fitness, in order to be a part of the first team once again.
"Yes, he can play again. I think he needs two or three weeks to train and play games of some sort but if he is in shape then of course he can be back."
Once Tevez is back in the City squad, it is safe to say the team will be given an extra edge up front. Not only will City have more quality in their offensive unit, but the Argentine’s inclusion could be just what the team needed to ensure their lead at
the top of the Premier League table.
